Who runs this site, and what it is for

This site is operated by Nxta Flow LLC, a small private company. It publishes long, sourced explanations of the situations homeowners get stuck in — a non-renewal, a denied roof claim, a payout below what a repair costs. It does not sell insurance and is not a licensed producer. No individual is named as its writer or editor, and no licensed insurance producer has reviewed it. Both of those are choices, both are stated on every page, and this one explains them.

Key takeaways

  • Nxta Flow LLC operates this site. The company name is in the footer of every page, alongside a working email address.
  • No person is named as writer or editor. Writing and editing are credited to the brand. We will not invent a byline to look more authoritative.
  • No licensed insurance producer has reviewed the content. We are recruiting one, and until then every byline says so in those words.
  • What we do instead of credentials is show the work — every factual claim is quoted from the document it came from, with the part named and the date we read it, listed at the foot of each page.
Why you can trust HomeCoverDesk. Every page is written from primary sources — statutes, regulations, state insurance department material and primary agency documents — quoted and cited inline at the claim, with the part of the document named. No licensed insurance producer has reviewed these pages. We are not licensed to sell insurance and we do not: nothing here is advice about your policy. This particular page describes us rather than the outside world, so it carries no external sources to link; the pages that make factual claims about insurance quote every one of them and list the documents at the foot. Nothing on this site earns us money today — there is no phone number, no advertiser and no referral arrangement. Read our editorial policy, methodology and how we make money.

What this site is for

Almost everyone who reads a page here arrived holding a letter. A non-renewal notice, a denial, a settlement that does not cover the repair. The problem with searching at that moment is that most of what comes back is either an insurer selling its own product or a lead form dressed up as an article.

So the standard here is narrow and it is the whole proposition: every number carries its source and its year at the point it is used, quotations are checked against the document rather than a summary of it, and where an answer genuinely differs by state we say so instead of inventing a national one. Where we cannot verify something, the page says that too, and the search behind the gap is published.

QuestionAnswer
Who operates itNxta Flow LLC, a small private company. The name is in the footer of every page.
Is a person namedNo. Writing and editing are credited to the brand, and every byline says so rather than inventing a person to sign it. We would rather show you an honest absence than a stock persona — our editorial policy forbids the second, and a name you cannot verify is worth nothing anyway.
Has a licensed insurance producer reviewed itNo. Every page says so in its own byline. We are recruiting one; when the role is filled, that reviewer's name, license number and National Producer Number appear on each page they reviewed.
Does it sell insuranceNo. We are not a licensed producer, we do not sell, solicit or negotiate insurance, and we cannot advise you on your own policy.
How is it fundedIt is not. There is no advertiser, no phone number and no revenue of any kind today. The how we make money page explains what we intend and where it stands.
Where it isWe do not publish a postal address, and the contact page says why. Email reaches us; post does not.

Why no one is named

A named author with verifiable credentials is worth more than an anonymous one. We are not going to pretend otherwise, and on a money-and-health-adjacent subject it matters.

What is worth less than nothing is a name that cannot be checked. Our editorial policy says it in terms: no invented people, no stock personas, no invented experts. Plenty of sites close this gap with a smiling photograph and a biography nobody can verify. That would be easy and it would be worse than the absence.

So the position is: the company is named, the work is credited to the brand, and the evidence is published so you can check the claims rather than the credentials. If that is not enough for you on a given page, the sources at the foot of it are the point — follow them, and you do not have to trust us at all.

What we will not do

We do not rate, rank or review insurers. Not one, not ever. We do not run quotes, and there is no form anywhere on this site.

We do not publish a figure without saying where it came from. Every claim is sourced at the point it is made rather than in a footnote, and the documents are listed and linked at the foot of each page.

We correct things in public. When we get something wrong we fix it, date the correction and say what changed, permanently, on the page where it happened. Our corrections policy explains how, and the correction logs on the busier pages are long. That is deliberate: a site with no visible corrections is not a site that makes no mistakes.

How we researched this

This page describes the site itself and carries no external sources. The sourcing standard it refers to is set out on the methodology page, and the review process on the editorial policy page.

Frequently asked questions

Who writes this site?

Nxta Flow LLC does, credited to Home Cover Desk. No individual is named as writer or editor, and every byline says so rather than carrying a name you could not verify. If a named editor is engaged, this page and the bylines will say so.

Why should I trust a site with no named author?

Partly you should not, and we would rather say that than argue you into it. What we offer instead of a credential is the evidence: every factual claim is quoted from the statute, regulation or department document it came from, with the part of the document named and the date we read it, listed at the foot of each page. Follow two or three of those links on any page and you will know more about whether to trust it than any biography would tell you.

Are you an insurance company, an agency or a broker?

None of the three. We do not underwrite, issue policies or pay claims; we do not sell, solicit or negotiate insurance; and we are not a licensed producer. Our licensing page sets out exactly who is licensed for what.

How do I get in touch?

By email, at hello@nxtaflow.com. It goes to an editor. If you are reporting an error, quoting the sentence helps more than anything else you can send. The contact page has the detail.
